We were small but mighty! 9 participants plant 85 trees on 3/19!!

Thank you to those who came to our March restoration event. We proved that great things can be achieved with small numbers in our partnership with Sound Salmon Solutions. We spent the day in Carnation along Harris creek and in rural farm land planting bare root saplings of Cedar, Douglas Fir and Western Hemlock trees. In four hours 9 of us planted 85 trees! It was a great day and we all felt like our hard work with pay off as these little trees grow to provide shade and shelter in the riparian zone for years to come.

See you at our next Whale Scout Helpin’ Out Event on April 23rd in Bothell with Friends of North Creek Forest to celebrate Earth Day!!!
